BS ELT Rationale

The four-year BS in English Language Teaching (ELT) program intended to support the academic and growth of those who wish to teach English in Pakistan in the ESL context. The BS in ELT will aid in career development by introducing students to a variety of teaching techniques, curriculum and syllabus development, designing lesson plans and classroom activities, and contemporary theories and practices in English language teaching. The program will be equally beneficial for pre- service and in-service teachers. The program will help students to pursue their career successfully as instructors and model-facilitators. It will help them build and reflect on their understanding of English Language Teaching and guide them as they investigate recent advancements in teaching methodology and teacher's education. With a focus on receptive and productive language abilities, the curriculum specifically aids in the development of students’ knowledge and understanding of English. Both pre-service and in-service teachers can benefit from the advanced level English training offered by the BS in ELT program. The BS in ELT program's objective is to offer mentorship, work placements, and other employment support as a bridge to the workforce.
