Recently the initial boundary wall work of UIT University Malir Campus has been completed which was a formal beginning of University operations evidenced by a graceful ceremony attended by UIT university officials and professionals. UIT University is the continuation of state-of-the-art 27 years of education experience. The University is aimed to contribute towards education and learning for the development of society in the nation at large, in continuation of its aspiration to become one of the leading universities providing practical solutions to industry, trade, and business. It has recently expanded its operations to create space for research and development. UIT University is entering into expanding its work in an area spreading over more than 49,000 sq. yards in the Malir district of Karachi.

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) organized a roadshow/awareness drive on the “Prime Minister’s National Innovation Award (PMNIA)” at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi. UIT University in collaboration with the Character building Society UIT & Youth Club organized a session on “Change Demands pain” & “LGBT”. Speakers Abu Saad and Muhammad Ali had interactive sessions on their respective topics. Abu Saad explained how going through a change is a process of struggle and dedication, Muhammad Ali dissected the issue of spread of gender identity crisis around the world.

UIT University participated in the enormous Tech exhibition ITCN Asia 2022 in collaboration with EDVON on Wednesday 24th, August 2022. Students from robotics society demonstrated various robots and participated in the competition i.e. "EDVON Robotics League 5". We are thankful to Dr. Shoaib Zaidi, Dr. Abid Kareem and Sir Zia Uddin for the wonderful efforts.

Muhammad Jehanzeb Shahid, Deputy Manager Monitoring Ignite National Technology Fund Islamabad visited UIT University. UIT University organized an awareness session on Road to Web 3.0 by Xord. Arham tariq, Head of Marketing Xord and Mubashir Ali Baig, Product Manager DeFi Xord discussed trending things about Web 3.0. They also explained the market value of Blockchain, DeFi and NFTs. Xord is a Web3 R&D company researching block chain core and infrastructure while developing products for the Web3 ecosystem.

UIT University in collaboration with TEDx SOCIETY UIT organized a seminar on MAHWARI JUSTICE. Guest Speakers Ushra Mahnoor and Anum Khalid explained the importance of female hygiene and discussed the campaign providing menstrual relief to flood-affected areas. Taking how the first-ever grassroots movement by two university students Bushra Mahnoor and Anum Khalid raised when the flood hit in July tackling with criticism of luxury and basic, other strives/strategies, attached to emotional and indigenous connections and how this campaign became successful to provide over 70 thousand women across Pakistan, that got published by international/national/local Media. So developing connections for periods of poverty and work in post-flood regarding climate/gender/hygiene basically would be the format of the discussion.
