UIT University (UITU) invites application for the position of “Psychologist / Psychiatrist” who will be responsible for supporting the emotional, mental and social well-being of students, faculty and staff. The role will offer guidance, early help, and confidential care within the university.

Responsible For
- Provide one-on-one counseling sessions for students and staff.
- Offer basic assessment of mental health concerns and suggest suitable care.
- Develop a treatment plan according to the student’s needs and extent of emotional, social, cognitive, developmental or behavioral disorder.
- Maintain proper student and clinical records of each session including the type of treatment and medication administered while keeping full privacy.
- Manage crisis situations and offer calm support when needed.
- Guide students with stress, grief, study pressure, and personal matters.
- Conduct awareness sessions on mental health and well-being.
- Work closely with faculty, student affairs and medical teams when required.
- Prepare monthly reports for the administration on overall trends and needs.
- Suggest steps to improve the campus environment for healthier student life.
- Follow ethical and legal policies, procedures and standards.
Qualification & Experience Requirements
- Master's (MS) or MPhil in Psychology (18-year) local or foreign, or preferably a PhD in Psychology; OR MBBS with specialization in Psychiatry or related discipline from a HEC recognized institution;
- Valid license from Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in counseling, therapy or clinical work preferably in the higher education institutions (HEIs).
