Dr. Muhammad Wasim's Role in Developing MAKKHIMETER at Fly Lab, DUHS

This state-of-the-art tool has been developed through a collaborative effort between UIT University, led by Dr. Muhammad Wasim, and the Dow Fly Research Lab at Dow College of Biotechnology. Its primary purpose is to quantify morphometric variations in Drosophila melanogaster, a model organism commonly used in research. These variations are intended to reflect changes associated with various human disease conditions, allowing researchers to draw parallels between the morphology of fruit flies and the pathophysiology of human ailments.
