Recognizing the importance of educating future leaders about environmental challenges and sustainable practices, UIT University organized a *Waste Management Awareness Session* to promote responsible waste management, recycling initiatives, and community engagement.

The event featured *Ms. Maryam Tariq, Manager Recycling & Awareness at the **Sindh Solid Waste Management Board (SSWMB)*, who provided participants with an overview of waste management operations across Sindh. Her presentation highlighted the role of public institutions in waste collection, recycling programs, environmental awareness campaigns, and the challenges associated with managing increasing volumes of urban waste. The session also welcomed *Mr. Zia Zuberi, Chief Executive Officer of **Expert Hazard Waste Management Solutions (EHWMS)*, who shared industry perspectives on hazardous waste management, recycling technologies, and innovative approaches to environmental sustainability.
