Proud Moment for MERL!
We’re thrilled to announce that Shahzaib Kashif, a researcher from the Micro Electronics Research Lab (MERL), has been selected as a CHERI Alliance Ambassador.
The CHERI (Capability Hardware Enhanced RISC Instructions) architecture represents a revolutionary step forward in computing — embedding memory protection and secure programming models directly into hardware, and fundamentally reshaping how secure systems are built.
At MERL, we are committed to pioneering next-generation computing paradigms, and it’s inspiring to see our young researchers contributing to globally impactful initiatives like CHERI. As an ambassador, Shahzaib Kashif will champion secure-by-design hardware-software systems and work to broaden awareness and adoption of CHERI technology.
