
MERL-UITU’s Muhammad Latif Completes Prestigious LFX Mentorship Program in Collaboration with Qualcomm
We are proud to share that Muhammad Latif, Research Assistant at Micro Electronics Research Lab UIT University (MERL-UIT), has successfully completed the Linux Foundation LFX Mentorship Program 2025 in collaboration with Qualcomm.
During the mentorship, he contributed to the RISC-V Unified Database (UDB) project, working on IDL development, RISC-V Vector extensions, and bug fixing, strengthening MERL’s presence in global open-source hardware research.
This achievement reflects MERL’s strong research culture and its continued engagement with global industry leaders such as Qualcomm , enabling students and researchers to contribute to cutting-edge open-source hardware initiatives.
