Dr. Waqar Ahmed is a Professor of Supply Chain Management and an accomplished academic leader with over two decades of experience spanning academia, industry, research, executive training, and higher education leadership. His expertise lies in supply chain management, logistics, operations, business analytics, research methodology, and strategic academic management.

Since October 2025, he has been serving as the Dean, Faculty of Management & Social Sciences (FMSS), UIT University, leading initiatives in curriculum innovation, research excellence, accreditation, industry engagement, and technology-enabled business education.

A passionate educator and mentor, he is an experienced corporate trainer, having delivered executive development programs in Supply Chain Risk Management, Strategic Supply Chain Management, Analytical Decision-Making, Research Methodology, Survey-Based Research, Operations Management, and Leadership Development for universities, government organizations, and corporate institutions.

Throughout his career, Dr. Ahmed has remained committed to advancing quality higher education through research-led teaching, academic leadership, industrial consultancy, and collaborative partnerships. His vision is to cultivate future business leaders by integrating academic rigor, innovation, industry relevance, and continuous quality improvement.
