Dr. Engr. Syed Talha Ahsan

Dr. S. Talha Ahsan is a seasoned academic with over 31 years of professional experience, including over 29 years of higher education teaching and research experience. He currently serves as Associate Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Electrical Engineering at UIT University. He has also held senior leadership roles at other prestigious institutions, including Bahria University and DHA Suffa University.

After completing his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering in 1993 from UET Lahore and working in process industry for one and a half years, he pursued his Master’s in Electrical Engineering (Communications and Signal Processing) from The Ohio State University (OSU), USA, where he also served as a Graduate Teaching Associate. He later earned his PhD in 2010 from the University of Manchester, UK, under the HEC 10% Overseas Scholarship.

Dr. Talha is a continuous learner, having recently completed courses in RISC-V based Computer Architecture, Generative AI Training (PEC), Deep Learning with PyTorch: Generative Adversarial Networks (Coursera), Generative AI with LLMs (Coursera), Deep Learning (Simplilearn), and Machine Learning Specialization courses (Coursera).
