Engr. Raza Abbas Jafri

Controller of Examinations

Engr. Syed Raza A. Jafri is a seasoned academic and engineering professional with over three decades of diverse experience spanning industry, academia, and academic administration. He currently serves as the Controller of Examinations at UIT University, where he plays a central role in ensuring the integrity, efficiency, and continuous improvement of examination systems.

Transitioning to academia in 2000, Mr. Jafri joined the Usman Institute of Technology (now UIT University), Karachi. Over a distinguished academic career of more than two decades, he served as Assistant Professor and subsequently as Associate Professor, contributing significantly to teaching, curriculum development, and student mentoring.

Since March 2021, he has been serving as Controller of Examinations at UIT University, where he has been instrumental in establishing and strengthening the Department of Examinations, developing policies, and implementing robust systems for the planning, conduct, supervision, and timely execution of examinations, contributing to enhanced transparency, efficiency, and academic governance.

With over 34 years of professional experience, including 26 years dedicated to UIT University, Engr. Jafri is widely recognized for his commitment to academic excellence, administrative diligence, and institutional development.
