UIT University (UITU), Karachi invites applications from dynamic, competent, and highly motivated professionals for the Karachi-based position of Project Engineer for its prestigious New Tower Building Project.

The Project Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and monitoring all engineering and construction activities to ensure execution of the project in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, project schedules, budgetary provisions, procurement plans, and all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

Working as part of the Administration Directorate, the incumbent will closely coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, suppliers, Government authorities (including SBCA / KDA), and the University's management to facilitate the timely and successful delivery of the project. The Project Engineer will also be responsible for monitoring project progress, ensuring effective site coordination, maintaining quality, cost, and schedule controls, and proactively identifying technical, operational, and contractual issues while recommending practical and timely solutions.

The incumbent will report to the Construction Committee through the designated University official, providing periodic progress reports, highlighting risks, bottlenecks, and implementation challenges, and recommending appropriate corrective measures. The role demands a high level of technical competence, professional integrity, and leadership to ensure the optimum utilization of available resources and the successful completion of the project within the approved scope, timeline, quality standards, and budget.

Eligibility Criteria

• Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant Engineering field from the University within Pakistan (HEC-recognized) or abroad (preferably from USA, UK, Australia).
• Registered Engineer with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in construction and supervision of commercial, institutional or high-rise building projects.
• Sound knowledge of RCC construction, architectural finishes, MEP coordination, project planning and quality control.
• Familiarity with SBCA/KDA regulations and construction standards will be preferred.

Professional Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and project management software.
• Ability to communicate through email and WhatsApp.
• Adequate knowledge of effectively using AI for work productivity.

Employment Type and Offer

• Full-time Contract-based (Project Specific) for a minimum period of 3-year subject to satisfactory performance.
