Prof. Dr. Vali Uddin is a distinguished academician, researcher, and higher education leader with an outstanding career spanning more than three decades in academia, research, and university administration. He is currently serving as the Vice Chancellor of UIT University, Karachi. Previously, he served as the Vice Chancellor of Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology (2019–2024), where he provided visionary leadership in academic planning, institutional development, research promotion, quality assurance, and international collaboration.

Throughout his professional journey, Prof. Dr. Vali Uddin has held several prestigious leadership positions, including Dean, Registrar, Acting Vice Chancellor, Head of Department, Director, and Professor at renowned institutions such as Hamdard University, Pakistan Navy Engineering College (NUST), and Iqra University. He has played a pivotal role in establishing new academic programs, strengthening university governance, enhancing quality assurance mechanisms, developing curricula, and implementing strategic institutional reforms.
