UIT University successfully hosted HER Impact 2026, an inspiring initiative dedicated to celebrating the achievements of women in engineering, innovation, and leadership. The event brought together students, professionals, and industry leaders to foster meaningful conversations on diversity, inclusion, professional growth, and the transformative role of women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

Organized by the IEEE UITU Student Branch and IEEE UIT Women in Engineering (WIE) in collaboration with the IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group, Karachi Section, the event served as a platform for knowledge sharing, mentorship, and leadership development. Through engaging discussions and inspiring success stories, participants explored the opportunities and challenges faced by women in engineering while highlighting the importance of inclusive innovation and collaborative leadership.

The event featured Engr. Syeda Fakhra Jalal as the Chief Speaker, whose insightful address encouraged students to pursue excellence, embrace innovation, and contribute confidently to the engineering profession. HER Impact 2026 also welcomed distinguished international virtual speakers, Engr. Amna Jawaid Sheikh from Greece and Ms. Nazish Sultan Plabon from Bangladesh, who shared valuable insights into global engineering practices, professional development, and leadership experiences.
