
UIT University celebrated Pakistan’s Independence Day on 14 August with a meaningful gathering that brought together students, faculty members, and staff to honor the spirit of freedom, national unity, and responsible citizenship.
The celebrations began with a flag-hoisting ceremony, marking the significance of Pakistan’s Independence Day and providing an opportunity for the university community to reflect on the values that underpin the nation’s journey. The ceremony highlighted the importance of unity, faith, responsibility, and collective commitment toward building a stronger and more prosperous Pakistan.
An important part of the celebration was the participation of students, who delivered engaging speeches reflecting on Pakistan’s independence, national unity, civic responsibility, and the role of young people in shaping the country’s future. Their perspectives highlighted the importance of an informed and responsible youth in addressing national challenges and contributing positively to society.
Addressing the students, Provost Dr. Kashif emphasized the value of independence and the responsibilities that accompany it. He highlighted that true independence extends beyond freedom and requires awareness, responsibility, and a commitment to making meaningful contributions to society.
The event concluded with remarks by Mr. Kamran Jamil, Director HR & Administration, who appreciated the enthusiastic participation of students and encouraged the university community to uphold the values of unity, responsibility, and patriotism in their personal, academic, and professional lives.
