UIT University commemorated Youm-e-Istehsaal Kashmir on 05 August 2026 with a dignified ceremony aimed at expressing solidarity with the people of Kashmir and raising awareness about the humanitarian situation in the region.

The ceremony commenced with the *National Anthem of Pakistan, followed by the National Anthem of Kashmir, setting a solemn and respectful tone for the observance. In his opening remarks, Dr. Kashif Mehmood highlighted the significance of Youm-e-Istehsaal Kashmir and emphasized the importance of peace, justice, human dignity, and continued awareness of the situation in Kashmir.

Students actively participated in the ceremony and delivered speeches addressing the situation in Kashmir. Through their presentations, they expressed empathy and solidarity while conveying the message “Hum Kashmir Ke Sath Hain” (We Stand with Kashmir). Their participation reflected the importance of encouraging young people to remain informed about significant humanitarian and social issues.

The ceremony concluded with closing remarks by Amir Khan, who appreciated the participation of students, faculty members, and staff and encouraged students to remain informed, compassionate, and committed to the values of peace and human dignity.

The observance witnessed active participation from the UIT University community, making the occasion a meaningful platform for reflection and awareness. The event also reinforced the university’s emphasis on civic responsibility, humanitarian awareness, empathy, and the importance of promoting peace and dignity.
