UIT University hosted the 4th Executive Committee (ExCom) Meeting of the IEEE Karachi Section on September 4, 2026, bringing together members of the Section’s Executive Committee to discuss key strategic, organizational, and operational matters related to the continued development of IEEE activities across Karachi.
The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Shahid Shaikh, Chair, IEEE Karachi Section, and provided a platform for Executive Committee members to review ongoing initiatives, discuss organizational progress, and deliberate on matters aimed at strengthening the Section’s professional and technical activities.
Key Agenda Items
The meeting covered several important matters, including:
- Confirmation of the minutes of the 3rd IEEE Karachi Section ExCom Meeting
- Updates on the progress of Organizational Units (OUs)
- Review of major initiatives, including VoLT 2026, SCONEST 2026, and KSYWSC 2026
- Discussion on the OU Event Outcome Template
- Consideration of any other agenda items with the approval of the Chair
The meeting also provided an opportunity for Executive Committee members to exchange ideas and coordinate future activities aimed at promoting engineering, technology, professional development, technical knowledge, and collaboration within the IEEE community.
