As part of its *Faculty Engagement Week (FEW) 2026, UIT University conducted an insightful Faculty Development Program (FDP) session on “Generative AI for Higher Education,” focusing on the growing role of artificial intelligence in teaching, learning, research, assessment, and academic administration.

The session was led by Dr. Kashif Mehmood, Provost & Dean, Faculty of Computing Sciences, UIT University, who shared practical insights into the applications and potential of **Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) in higher education.

The session explored how emerging AI tools can support faculty members in a range of academic and professional activities, including teaching and lesson planning, educational content development, assessment design, academic research, student engagement, and administrative tasks.
