The IEEE UIT Student Branch hosted IEEE VOLT 2026 (Volunteer Leadership Training) with the support and grant of the IEEE Karachi Section, bringing together student members from leading universities across Karachi for a focused leadership and professional development session.

The training brought together more than 40 IEEE student members representing five IEEE Student Branches across the Karachi Section: UIT University, Ziauddin University, Institute of Business Management (IoBM), Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET), and Dawood University of Engineering & Technology (DUET).

The session featured six distinguished IEEE Executive Committee (ExCom) members, who shared their experiences, strategic perspectives, and practical insights on leadership, volunteer engagement, and professional development. Their contributions provided students with valuable guidance on developing effective leadership skills and making meaningful contributions to the IEEE community.

Fostering Student Leadership and Collaboration

IEEE VOLT 2026 provided a platform for students from different IEEE Student Branches to connect, exchange ideas, and learn from experienced IEEE leaders. The training encouraged collaboration and knowledge sharing while highlighting the importance of effective leadership, teamwork, communication, and active volunteer participation.

For student members, the initiative offered an opportunity to broaden their understanding of IEEE activities and develop skills that can support their academic, professional, and leadership journeys.
