A big moment for Pakistan, a proud milestone for UIT University

We are proud to mark this remarkable achievement as another milestone in our journey of excellence.

The 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐫𝐨 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐋𝐚𝐛-𝐔𝐈𝐓 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 has once again made its mark in the global semiconductor arena another proud milestone in our journey.

We continue to build on our legacy through contributions to the globally recognized open chip architecture, 𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐂-𝐕 . This marks our 5th consecutive selection since 2021, proudly representing Pakistan on an international stage and only University besides MIT, USA to be selected.

Over the years, MERL-UIT has consistently worked to strengthen its presence in the global semiconductor ecosystem pushing forward innovation, research, and open-source development.

We’re excited to share that our project has been accepted for LFX Summer 2026 and is now open to applications from talented individuals around the world.
