MERL-UITU Showcases Global Open-Source Impacts and Student Success Stories at Riphah International University

Our esteemed faculty member Dr. Farhan Ahmed Karim from the Micro Electronics Research Lab, MERL-UITU at UIT University, was recently invited to deliver a session at Riphah International University, Islamabad.

During his visit, he highlighted MERL-UITU’s impactful open-source contributions in the semiconductor domain and shared insights on participation in prestigious global programs such as Google Summer of Code and Linux Foundation Mentorship.

Addressing Software Engineering students, Dr. Farhan emphasized the importance of open-source engagement in shaping this technological revolution and establishing Pakistan’s presence in the global silicon open-source ecosystem. He also inspired the audience by sharing success stories of UIT University students and alumni who are making their mark internationally.
