Engr. Afifa Rasheed is an Electrical Engineer and Lecturer at UIT University, Karachi, with professional experience in engineering, higher education, teaching, and academic development. She has developed a diverse professional profile combining engineering with management sciences areas, reflecting a strong commitment to teaching, mentoring, and preparing students to address real-world engineering challenges.

Her engineering interests have been supported by practical project experience, particularly in the area of smart grids and power systems. Her notable project, “Synchrophasor-Based High-Speed Data Acquisition for Blackout Avoidance,” involved the development of a Phasor Data Concentrator (PDC) for receiving time-synchronized voltage, current, and frequency measurements from Phasor Measurement Units (PMUs).
