Management Profile

Muhammad Ali Kemal is an engineering and operations management professional with eighteen plus years of experience spanning plant engineering, maintenance leadership, and capital project execution in Pakistan’s manufacturing sector, who has, over the past two years, transitioned into research and innovation administration in a higher education institution. He currently serves as Director ORIC at UIT University, where he leads the University’s strategic direction for research, innovation, and commercialization.

In this capacity, he is responsible for increasing and diversifying external research funding, strengthening the integration of research and education across academic levels, and planning research-related conferences and webinars to promote collaboration and knowledge-sharing. He works to build university–industry linkages and pursue research support from the corporate sector, while promoting entrepreneurship, technology transfer, and commercialization activities intended to support the local and national economy.

Mr. Kemal brings a disciplined, project-driven approach from his industrial background to his current academic administration role, and continues to contribute toward strengthening UIT University’s research, innovation, and commercialization ecosystem.
