Faculty Profile

Hafsa Shoaib is a Junior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at UIT University and a Research Associate at the Micro Electronics Research Lab (MERL). Her academic and research interests focus on computer architecture, RISC-V processor architecture, hardware design, vector processing, and emerging secure computing technologies.

At MERL, she has contributed to multiple RISC-V processor development projects and mentored students through the Chip Design program. She has also been involved in open-source hardware development and has provided project guidance, supervised academic projects, and supported undergraduate students in their academic and professional development.

Her work spans processor architecture, hardware design, open-source development, SystemVerilog, CHISEL, and post-quantum cryptography. She has presented her work internationally and actively contributes to technical communities through workshops, conferences, and mentoring activities.
