The UIT University (UITU) invites applications for the position of Lab Incharge. The incumbent shall have following qualification and experience:

Responsible For

• Manage and supervise day-to-day operations of Electrical Engineering laboratories.
• Ensure the availability, functionality, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Provide technical support to faculty members during practical sessions and laboratory experiments.
• Assist students in conducting experiments, troubleshooting circuits, and completing laboratory projects.
• Perform routine inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of laboratory equipment, computers, electronic trainers, and project boards.
• Ensure the readiness and proper functioning of laboratory equipment before practical sessions.
• Maintain laboratory inventory, equipment logbooks, maintenance records, and equipment issuance and return registers.
• Coordinate with faculty members for laboratory scheduling, equipment requirements, and smooth conduct of practical sessions.
• Provide technical assistance in experiments related to Electronics, Digital Systems, Electrical Circuits, Electrical Power Systems, and AC/DC Machines, as applicable.
• Support student projects, prototypes, and practical activities through technical guidance and equipment management.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and compliance with electrical and laboratory safety procedures.
• Assist in the installation, configuration, upgrading, and commissioning of laboratory equipment and systems.
• Monitor equipment performance and implement preventive maintenance measures to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted laboratory operations.
• Maintain technical documentation and prepare reports on equipment status, maintenance, and laboratory requirements.

Qualification & Experience Requirements

MSc/ BS/ BE/ B-Tech (16 years in Electrical/ Electronics) or at par Master’s / Bachelor’s qualification in a relevant discipline.

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in electrical laboratory management, equipment maintenance, technical support, or laboratory operations, preferably in a university or higher educational institution.
