Overview

The UIT University (UITU) invites applications for the position of Officer Campus Security. The incumbent shall have following qualification and experience:

Responsible For

• Oversee security arrangements across university premises, including guard deployment, duty rosters, gate operations and perimeter security.
• Assess security risks and coordinate precautionary measures for senior officials during official visits, particularly to Gadap Campus, considering strikes, law-and-order situations and other potential threats.
• Maintain campus discipline and address suspicious activities, unauthorized access and violations of university rules.
• Respond to fighting, vandalism, disputes and other abnormal situations affecting campus safety and operations, ensuring timely reporting and escalation.
• Conduct regular security inspections and monitor the effectiveness of security arrangements, including at Gadap Campus.
• Plan and coordinate security arrangements for university events, functions and special activities in collaboration with concerned departments.
• Coordinate with outsourced security agencies regarding guard deployment, duty schedules, performance and compliance with university security procedures.
• Ensure compliance with identification, visitor registration, access control and visitor pass procedures as per approved security SOPs.
• Coordinate CCTV surveillance and ensure that security footage and records are accessed only by authorized personnel.
• Maintain security incident records, support preliminary inquiries and coordinate with relevant authorities where required.
• Ensure compliance with security procedures for contractors, construction workers and the movement of university assets through approved gate passes.
• Support implementation of university parking rules, traffic discipline and orderly vehicle movement at campus entry and exit points.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness, evacuation drills and safety measures with the Administration Department and EHS Committee.
• Maintain security records, brief security personnel on assigned duties, submit reports to management, recommend security improvements and perform any other related duties assigned by the competent authority.

Qualification & Experience Requirements

MA / MSc / BS / BE (16-year) or at par Master’s / Bachelor’s qualification in a relevant discipline.

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in campus/premises security, vigilance, CCTV operations, managing discipline, handling internal safety and security, coordination with local law enforcement agencies to deal with campus surrounding security matters, parking management, and ensuring compliance with the university’s security policy.
