Overview
UIT University invites application for the position of “Driver” in the HR and Administration
Department to ensure the provision of safe and reliable driving services to senior officials, faculty
and staff.
Specific Skills
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
- Punctuality, reliability, and professionalism are essential.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform duties that may require lifting, bending, and sitting for extended periods.
- Familiarity with the local area and routes is a plus.
Responsible For
- To safely and responsibly operate the university vehicle assigned to transport the Senior Official, Staff or Faculty to various destinations, including official meetings, events, and appointments.
- To maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition.
- To adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving and ensure the safety of passengers and pedestrians.
- To plan and organize travel routes efficiently, considering factors such as traffic conditions, time constraints, and special requirements of the passenger.
- To assist the officials with loading and unloading personal belongings, documents, and other items as needed.
- To provide courteous and professional assistance to the officials, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant travel experience.
- To keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities for the assigned vehicle.
- To report any vehicle maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate authorities promptly.
- To maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding the official's schedule, activities, and any sensitive information.
- To perform any other work assigned from time to time by the Reporting Head.

Educational Requirements
Must have valid driving license with a clean driving record.
Experience Requirements
Must have 2-5 years’ proven experience as a professional driver in an educational institution.
