Manager Corporate Liaison & Admission (CL&A)

Overview

Manager Corporate Liaison & Admission (CL&A) is a middle management Karachi-based position responsible for establishing liaison and relationship with the corporate sector for strengthening academia industry linkage. The position is also responsible for university’s marketing, communication and admission.

Specific Skills
  • Excellent and effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Negotiation skills.
  •  Preparing budgets and monitoring the disbursement of funds.
  •  Computer proficiency in the standard packages (word processing, presentation, spreadsheets, internet and email).
  • Good know how of social media operations.
Responsible For
  1. To contribute towards the development of strategy for nurturing industry linkages and promote advancement of professional knowledge, skills and expertise of students, faculty and staff.
  2. To develop the department's strategy and plan for achieving desired targets.
  3.  To interact with the industry to enhance corporate relationships and seek professional opportunities for university and its students and alumni.
  4.  To develop sustainable partnership with local and international industry, partners and universities.
  5.  To establish collaboration between academia and industry which will facilitate in R&D opportunities with faculty members and joint projects with industry and for this purpose explore opportunities for signing MOUs with the corporate sector.
  6.  To interact with trade bodies and associations for mutual collaboration.
  7. To assist in arranging industrial visits, internships, and placement opportunities including structure training for students.
  8. To assist in coverage of the University's programs in the electronic media, including managing all social media platforms and print media
  9. To propose ideas and develop plans for building the University's image.
  10.  To develop plans to represent UIT University at corporate events, seminars, and conferences and execute the same including setting up promotional stalls and developing contacts to increase awareness about University’s various services.
  11.  To establish a liaison with both public and private sector organizations for placement and internships / trainings of university's students, graduates and alumni.
  12. To manage all the activities of Industry Advisory Boards (IABs) of the university.
  13.  To devise a mechanism to provide counselling to existing students in terms of jobs and career advancements.
  14.  To take measures and hold activities for vibrant alumni.
  15.  To find avenues and opportunities for university's participation in corporate and college events.
  16.  To facilitate teaching departments in seeking industry-based projects.
  17.  To establish and maintain a corporate database in accordance with the requirements of regulatory bodies / councils.
  18.  To participate in corporate and industrial expos to build relationships.
  19.  To hold job fairs / expos within the university for the placement and internship of students, graduates and alumni.
  20.  To oversee university's marketing and communication (Marcom) including (i) Corporate Identity and Communication; (ii) Branding and Image Building; (iii) Public Relations; (iv) Advertising and Social Media Marketing; (v) Partnerships and MOUs; (vi) Media and Press; (vii) Audio Visual (Photography, Video-making, Graphic Designing)); (viii) Event Management and Marketing; (ix) Content Management and Marketing; (x) Guests Relationship and Management; (xi) General Exhibitions and Expos
  21.  To oversee university's admission activities including (i) Admission Operations; (ii) Admission Expos and Exhibitions; (iii) Outreach Campaign; (iv) Career Counseling Seminars; (v) Institutions and Colleges Relationship; (vi) Prospective Students Engagement Programs.
  22.  To undertake tasks delegated by the Director and Vice Chancellor for the purpose of strengthening and expanding the above-mentioned role.
  23.  To comply / implement decisions of competent authority (ies).
  24. To accomplish other special assignments given from time to time.

Qualification & Experience Requirements

MBA / MS or Equivalent (18-year) from HEC recognized institution with 06 years relevant experience. BBA / BS or Equivalent (16-year) from HEC recognized institution with 10 years relevant experience.
