Registrar Position


UIT University (UITU) is established vide The University Act, 2017 of Government of Sindh. The University is the culmination of twenty-seven years of progressive and successful operation of the Usman Institute of Technology. Currently, the University has four Departments namely, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Management Sciences and Social Sciences. In order to expand our contribution in the economy and to meet emerging requirements of talented professionals in the country, the University is keen to start education in diversified disciplines.

In order to fill the internal full-time Registrar position of UITU, applications are invited from interested and eligible candidates. The incumbent shall have following qualification and experience:

Responsible For
  1. To be the custodian of the common seal and the academic records of the University;
  2. To maintain the register of a registered graduates in the prescribed manner and register of the minutes of all meetings of the Board and other Authorities in which he is required to attend under this Act and preserve all records and data of the University;
  3. To supervise and process of appointment or nomination of members to the various authorities and other bodies in the prescribed manner;
  4. To ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of all academic records of current and former students;
  5. To facilitate effective student registration and enrollment;
  6. To build secure student data files and sets policy and procedure for their responsible use;
  7. To maintain up-to-date course schedules, catalogs, and final examination schedules;
  8. To supervise and maintain the degree audit systems;
  9. To develop and supervise the processes for the articulation of transfer credits, graduation and certification of baccalaureate and master’s degrees, enrollment and degree verification, credit transfer, leave, suspension and dismissal of students;
  10. To ensure production of official transcripts, diplomas, and commencement ceremonies;
  11. To counsel and advise students, faculty, and staff on academic matters;
  12. To assess students’ requests for add/drop and withdrawal and conduct exit interviews for university withdrawals;
  13. To manage students’ affairs and societies;
  14. To develop and manage students’ grievance disposal system;
  15. To interpret and enforce academic policies and regulations of the University, HEC, PEC and NCEAC;
  16. To be part of the Registration, Credits, and Graduation Council, Calendar Committee, Registration Committee, Grade Appeal Committee for undergraduate students, Commencement Committee and other councils and committees as per Act;
  17. To compile and analyze enrolment data and advises students on how to meet graduation requirements and resolves issues related to individual academic records, such as credit attribution;
  18. To coordinate with other departments for quality services to the students;
  19. Other responsibilities include preparing and keeping records of academic calendar, all classes and curriculum prerequisites, determining students' graduation eligibility, planning commencement activities and preparing information such as honours lists, transcripts and class rankings;

Educational Requirements

Preferably Masters / MPhil from HEC recognized university.

Experience Requirements
Must have 8-10 years’ relevant experience.
