As part of its Faculty Development Program (FDP) 2026, UIT University conducted its second professional development session on “Primary Data Analysis Using Partial Least Squares – Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM)”.
The session was led by Dr. Waqar Ahmed, Dean, Faculty of Management & Social Sciences, UIT University, who provided faculty members with valuable insights into the principles and practical application of primary data analysis, Partial Least Squares (PLS), and Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) in academic research.
The session focused on strengthening faculty members’ understanding of advanced quantitative research methods and demonstrating how PLS-SEM can be applied to analyze primary data and examine relationships between variables in research studies.
Through practical insights and academic discussion, the session enabled faculty members to enhance their research capabilities, improve their understanding of data analysis techniques, and develop greater confidence in applying advanced statistical methods to their academic research.
The second session of FDP 2026 reflects UIT University’s continued commitment to faculty development, research excellence, professional learning, and capacity building in higher education. By providing faculty members with opportunities to strengthen their research and analytical skills, UIT University continues to foster a culture of evidence-based research and continuous academic development.
