The Department of Student Affairs, UIT University, organized “Sham-e-Sukhan,” an Open Mic literary event, on Friday, 23 October 2026, at the UIT University Auditorium. The event brought together students, faculty members, and literary enthusiasts for an evening dedicated to poetry, literature, music, and artistic expression.
The program provided a vibrant platform for students and guest performers to showcase their creative talents through original poetic recitations, musical renditions, and expressive art performances. The diverse performances encouraged participants to express their ideas and emotions while engaging with different forms of literature and the performing arts.
“Sham-e-Sukhan” also created an opportunity for students and faculty members to connect through a shared appreciation of poetry, music, and creative expression. Such literary and cultural events contribute to an engaging campus environment while allowing students to develop confidence, communication skills, creativity, and self-expression.
Beyond academic learning, participation in literary and artistic activities plays an important role in holistic student development. Platforms such as Open Mic events encourage students to explore their interests, share their perspectives, and engage with the cultural and creative dimensions of university life.
Through initiatives such as *Sham-e-Sukhan*, UIT University continues to encourage student creativity, promote literary and cultural engagement, and provide opportunities for students to explore and showcase their artistic talents beyond the classroom.
